The web is abuzz with rumors of the next-generation Apple iPad 2 tablet

. According to industry sources at chip component makers, Apple is said to be working on three versions of iPad 2 that will consist of Wi-Fi, UMTS and CDMA models asreportedby Taiwanese news daily DigiTimes. The mass production of these iPads is expected to start in late January. Once again "industry sources" have offered some secretive update, but there's no way to confirm if they are true.

Apple iPad truly has been the most discussed and searched gadget of this year. However, there are several shortcomings that still exist in the tablet, which we expect to be fixed in the next-generation Apple iPad 2.
