GETTING STARTED

The procedure for iPhone Processing is easy and takes less than an hour. There is an app available for downloading to your phone. There are some companies that offer a free credit card reader with the download and there are small fees to pay with some readers. Card readers are not always necessary. When a card is not present, just type in the card number and the expiration date to have charges processed. The fees paid readers are far less than those that are paid when a terminal is used for processing credit card charges. If you already have a merchant services account, you can become a Smartphone Merchant through your service provider.

Supply your bank account information after downloading the app so that funds charged are deposited directly to your account. Once you have supplied all of your information, you will receive your card reader in the mail. After the card reader is received, processing charges is just a swipe away. Payments will go directly to your bank account within 24 hours.

PROCESSING FEES

Depending on the company you receive your card reader from, we found the processing fees for Smartphone Processing can range from as little as 2.7 percent, plus .15 cents per swipe, to $13 per month plus 1.95 percent for each swipe. The field is wide open for you to make a choice from, so take your time and decide what is most cost effective for your business or service. The fees associated with a Smartphone Merchant may be slightly higher.

TRANSACTIONS

Once you receive confirmation of the charges, the image of a receipt will be visible on your screen and a space for the signature of your customer. The customer signs directly on the screen and is sent a text as a copy of their purchase receipt. If the customer does not have texting capability, the receipt can be emailed. With iPhone Processing, your business runs smoother with electronic recording of all receipts.
