Ipod Shuffle Or Ipod Nano
iPod shuffle is one of the world's most smallest and sexiest music player
. This device is best for one and only thing i.e. Listening to music and the iPod Shuffle does only that but does it very well. iPod Shuffle is an awesome music player with very good sound quality.
With iPod Shuffle you cannot take photos, record videos, make genius playlist, or have a Nike integration. iPod Shuffle is just for listening to music.
iPod Shuffle comes in two capacities - a 2GB version on which you can load upto 500 songs and a 4GB version in which you can put 1000 songs. The battery life of iPod Shuffle is quite decent, it lasts upto 10 hours which is ok because I don't think you will be listening to all 500 songs in one go. It is available in 5 colors - silver, gray, blue, green and pink. The 2GB version costs $59 and the 4GB version costs $79 and the retail packages includes earphones with remote and an USB cord. And there is no mic in the earphones.
The iPod shuffle charges for 3 hours. You charge it by attaching it to a PC or Mac via USB cable. (That's probably why it takes 3hours to charge) You have to fill up your iPod shuffle by copying your favourite tunes via iTunes. The design is really cool with only one switch, a small LED light and one post. I found the headphones to be very uncomfortable and I cannot use any other headphone as the controls of Shuffle are built into the headphones cord and without which full control over the iPod Shuffle is not possible. There are two play modes - one is the "shuffle" mode and another one is the "normal play" mode.
In the shuffle mode, I think the mush is shuffled every time you go into shuffle mode. In the normal mode, the songs are played in the order they are stored inside the player.
This time round, the controls are, surpriseingly difficult. A single click to Play/Pause music. Double click to go to next track and triple click to go to previous music. The center button is also used to control the new VoiceOver feature. The controls really aren't very convenient.
The VoiceOver feature is cool and works very good. It correctly recognised every song (both english and foreign) It also gives alerts like - "Please use iTunes to sync music" and "battery is low, charge your device"
overall this is a very cool device which you can buy to music without spending too much money.
Although I've talked about iPod Nano earlier, here's a rundown -
iPod Nano has features like a crisp screen, a camera with which you can take photos and record videos, make genius playlists, nike integration etc. It is available in 2 capacities - 8GB version stores upto 2000 songs or 8 hours of video, the 16GB version stores upto 4000 songs or 16 hours of video. Battery life is very good with audio playback upto 24 hours and video playback upto 5 hours. It's available in 9 colors - Black, Silver, Purple, Light Blue, Dark Green, Gold, orange, Product Red and Pink. 8GB version costs $149 and 16GB version costs $179 and the retail package includes earphones, dock adapter and USB cable. It has a crisp 2.2 inch display.
Definitely recommended for anyone who likes watching videos as well as listening to music.
