Most of the Iron ores mines are open pits. The iron ore is drilled and blasted in benches, Ore is loaded into haul trucks by shovels, hydraulic excavators or front-end-loaders, and transported to transport the ore to crushing plants, where the ore is crushed into smaller pieces of varying sizes. Crushed ore is then classified into different sizes based on customer specifications.

The larger ones will be transferred to the tertiary crusher ( cone crusher) to be crushed again. These sizable iron ore will be sent to stockpiles for grinding.
