Cell phone spying is appropriate, when done in the right way. It can be discerned by evaluating the purpose. If the reason of such an effort is just to make fun on other people's affair, then absolutely, it is to be discouraged. On the other hand, if the purpose of doing that thing is for the sole reason of finding a good solution to a problem, then it is not only proper but also commendable for anyone to use. Saving children from future disaster or preventing a marriage from being broken is a good reason to back it up.
