Is Cheerleading Music Really Important?
For years, people have been able to feel a connection to certain things through music. Movies tend to incorporate music into them to keep fans intrigued, and concerts are always seen as a big event for people that want to have a good time. On the subject of music, do you believe that cheerleading music has any significance at all?
There are some people that still see cheerleaders are meaningless commodities at sporting games. In fact, some people will not admit that this demanding sport is actually a sport at all. Regardless of what you believe, the cheer music that is played in the background for these individuals is just as important to their routines as their routines are. The tunes chirping in the background are supposed to get fans and players motivated and make them show an avid interest in the game that is being played in front of their eyes.
Typically, all of the cheerleading music that you will hear at games and other sporting events is designed to be upbeat and get fans on the edge of their seats. There are never any slow dj mix songs played at sporting events or other events because in all actuality these games would be boring to have to sit through and endure, plus it is hard to make an energized cheer music routine to songs that encompass feelings.
The beats are generally a mixture of hard hitting tones that can easily be manipulated into sharp dance moves that involve relatively fast motions. In all actuality, the faster the beat in the background is the better off it is for the individuals performing cheers. Not only are these individuals who are engaged in the sport supposed to motivate fans, express team spirit, and give players motivation they are also supposed to entertain everyone.
One thing that is evident about these tunes is a great deal of them tend to lack lyrics. There is a reason behind this. Many vocalists emphasize feelings in their songs, since these tunes are meant to not show feelings, the words sung by performers are cut out. In some rare cases, the words will be kept in if the song is inspirational in itself.
Perhaps the hardest job that a coach has aside from making dance routines is choosing a dance mix for their cheerleaders to dance to. There are many mistakes that coaches make when they are forced to choose cheer music for their squad. One large mistake is they opt to elect popular songs of the time.
Popular songs are generally overplayed by many large radio stations. Not only will these songs make the people in your crowd bored, they are also seen as too monotonous. The cheerleading music you elect for your squad to dance to must stick out if you want their routine to be memorable.
Believe it or not, the cheerleading music that you select for your girls to dance to is crucial to their routine. If a coach chooses the wrong cheer music they could ruin the entire performance for everyone.
