Chiropractors are professional doctors who are educated and trained to diagnose and treat spinal subluxation. The word subluxation comes from a Latin word and means slight dislocation. So in general terms it means slight or minor dislocation of the spine. When subluxation occurs these chiropractors can align the dislocated bone to its proper place. This is called adjustment and this adjustment enables the body to heal.

This procedure is done through giving a quick thrust or force to a vertebra for correcting the misaligned bone to get back to its position and work properly. During the treatment when the force is used you can hear an audible sound when the adjustment of the bone is done. This sound usually scare's people the first or second time then they get use to it. Patients tend to feel minor discomfort due to muscles in spasm or the patient is tensed up during the procedure.

There are times when the patient does not hear the crack sound and this is due to significant muscle tightness or the patient is not relaxed properly and is having a hard time to adjust during the procedure. The treatment then may be followed by physical therapy and massage therapy, strengthening and stretching exercise are recommended to keep the wiring fixed during the process of Chiropractic procedure.

It is very important to heal the problem and then also to prevent it from reoccurring that is what the chiropractors do and strive for the best. The subluxation complex is actually divided in to five components.

The first is the bone component where the vertebra is out of the position and is not functioning properly. This then leads to narrowing of the place between bones through which nerves passes and this in result is very irritating and painful.

The second component nervous component which is the disruption of normal flow of energy along the nerve fibers causing the messages to get disrupted which travel through the nerves. The tissues that are fed by the nerves receive distorted signals from brain and then they are not able to function properly.

The third component is the Muscular component; the subluxation can cause a muscle to spasm which then pulls the attached vertebrae more out of place and is very irritating.

Fourth component of the Soft tissue component, the vascular subluxation complex will also affect the surrounding tendons, blood vessels and other tissues.

The last component is the chemical component, this happens due to vascular subluxation complex when there is change in the chemistry of the body.

If these problems are not resolved and treated properly they can get very chronic and dangerous too. They can even lead to dangerous disease such as arthritis, loss of movement of muscles and weakness and spasm of muscles.

These chiropractors not only treat adults but they are complete family chiropractors which treat children and infants too. You need to search for well experienced chiropractor as this treatment is not an easy task to treat and cure.
