Boots revealed some research today regarding erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation and the report suggests that it is as common an issue for men as is the common cold. The research reports coincide with the backing of the new Boots pharmaceutical range.

The research shows that 68% of men have at one point experienced premature ejaculation. 50% have experienced negative feelings regarding their self esteem and anxiety as a result of their sexual performance. The study spread over 4 weeks and showed that of the 4,500 men more suffered from premature ejaculation and issues with ED than suffered at the mercy of the common cold, cough or flu virus.

More men are being treated now than ever before according to a recent study in Germany. The number of men claiming health benefits for their problem rose by 13% between 2006 and 2009. According to a report issued by heath insurer, KKA-Allianz in Germany, out of approximately 2 million people they insure, they reported nearly 19,000 of the male contingency seeking treatment for impotence.

It was reported that 90% of the cases were caused by psychological factors. Alcohol and smoking were major influences also. According to their reports, the number of females experiencing sexual dysfunction is decreasing. The number dropped by 15% between 2006 and 2009.

Almost 29,000 men and women insured by KKH-Allianz were treated for sexual dysfunction over the last year. 1 out of 4 were women. The number of men affected is not clear as it said they avoid the doctor to hide what they consider to be an embarrassing condition.

This medication can be taken with treatments for erectile dysfunction but caution is advised when combining these medications.
