Is It Bad To Spoil A Baby?
First time parents have a tendency to give almost everything on their first child
. Do you think giving your baby everything means spoiling him? The answer is NO. Spoiling your baby isnt a bad thing for parents to do. It basically depends on your infants age. Young babies are said to be totally spoiled-proof. They need all your tender loving care more than everything. The infants dont purposely cry just to annoy you. They cant even tell exactly how to get what they want. All they ever know is cry to get your attention, be it a wet diaper, food craving, fear, or just needing your hugs. Crying doesnt merely their way to show distress. According to Dr. Gorski, babies cry to express an array of feelings, from being hungry, exhausted or over stimulated. Parent should learn your babys indication. My brother used to tell me to listen how my sons cry. It changes depending on his needs. And its a mothers instinct to know exactly what her baby want. Responding to them promptly builds their confidence and you also establish a trust that can last until they grow. Attending to their needs make them feel loved and secure. Being there all the time gives them courage to explore what are new to them.
Their cries dont need you to carry them all the time. You may sometimes misread their signals and they may feel that its just natural to be held every time they cry. Give your child some time alone. According to experts, spending some time alone is how an infant learn to amuse and appease herself. Be also conscious on how often they cry. Let him cry but not too long. He might get annoyed playing on his toy. Let him whine a bit and sooner or later hell learn how to cope with it by himself. Handling a little disappointment is one learning opportunities for your young ones.
Promptly responding to your kids does not merely spoiling them as long as they are still young especially if theyre only newborns. They cant specifically tell you hey Mom I need my diaper change or Mommy play with me. Will you not be horrified if a new born child speaks these straight in front of you? Heed to their cries but still check how you behave whenever you attend to their cries or needs. You might tend to be anxious and they might think the same way. Be as calm as you can. If they want to explore on things show a helping hand and be patient. This way you encourage them to move on and learn new things. What a parent needs to keep in mind is that your baby is new to this world and every moment is a fresh occurrence to them. Make these experiences as encouraging, soothing and comforting in spite of the inconveniences hence, you will make the next point of their lives less hard to manage. The moment they grow it is your responsibility to assess your behavior on how to respond with their daily needs. Ask some advices from the experts and experienced parents. But above all follow your instincts as a parent. Do not go overboard. Loving your kids does not mean spoiling them.
