It is now official; the Arizona Diamondbacks are one of the worst teams in professional baseball

. This has been made official since they are now currently 28-44. They are able to have the satisfaction of knowing that they are not the worst in baseball, that honor belongs to Baltimore. Nonetheless, there are a lot of doubts that the team will be able to head to the post season, this is due to the fact that they are 14 games from first. This is the point of the season that you call it a loss and refocus on the next season ahead of you. There is a lot of work that is needed to be done when it comes to the team and getting them into the swing of things.

There is absolutely no sense of pitching when it comes to Arizona. They are lucky that they have anything that resembles a pitching rotation. At this point they may want to give the groundskeeper a shot as the starting pitcher. This will be as good of a shot and any other player that they have signed as a pitcher. There are several different options that they may want to make sure that they give a shot when it comes to signing a pitcher that will get the job done.

There is a severe lack of batting power in the Diamondbacks batting order, these players are not able to hit a home run in the ball let alone send one out of the park in the pros. There needs to be a meeting and the team needs to be told that it is okay to hit the ball farther than the pitcher. This will help them in the long run as they will actually be able to at least leave home plate when they are at bat.

The batting power of Arizona is not able to help in many regards as well there are several areas that the team could have made improvements in the off season but the management of the team saw fit to not make the needed changes and as a result this led to the team not having an effective batting rotation that they could rely on for their offense. This is the biggest reason that the team has lost forty-four of their games this season and is in absolute last place in the division.

If you are a diehard fan of the Diamondbacks, then you are to be congratulated on the dedication that you have for this team; it takes a lot to admit that they are a fan of the team from Arizona. This amount of dedication may one day be rewarded but in the meantime there will be a lot of teams that will make the Diamondbacks, the laughing stock of MLB and as a result will be the end of an era for a team that at one point had so much potential in front of them as a result. This will be a long season for the fans of the Diamondbacks to suffer through for 2010.
