You have only recently been exposed to infidelity in your connection with your spouse

. This has completely destroyed your inner being, and you feel as if you can not go on. You might be the type of person who can forgive such deception, and this is great. Here are a few ideas for saving your marriage.

Unfaithfulness causes many of us, immediately, to feel shock; while others experience sadness, anger, or disbelief. No one can tell you exactly how you must feel, for each person is unique. It is much better for you to experience your emotions, rather than try to hide it from your spouse. Your pain not only needs to be felt, it needs to be seen.

It will require much effort, on both your parts, to maintain your connection. Your spouse will have to be open about situations within the affair because you will have many questions. Your husband, or wife, must have plenty of patience for you are going to reveal hate toward the infidelity. You also have to hear, and deal with, the accuracy of what occurred. Do not cover your feelings because this will destroy all efforts to redeem your communication.

When someone, we trust, has done something fallacious to us, we do not want to grant clemency. We want to lash out, expressing our anger with physical force, hoping that the hurt will be removed through our assertion. Remember, listening to what your mate has to say, will not mean you have ignored the situation; it does, however, allow for communication to begin.

It is not a prerequisite that you take your problems to a licensed counselor, to rescue the marriage. Many private people, rely upon close confidants, kindred, the priesthood, or the pastorate, so that they can share their obstacles. Whatever you feel will work best for you, is what you should approach.

In the end, you must correspond with your marriage partner. This is the time for you both to stay open, and honest, with each other. If separation is part of the equation, then do it quickly, so the repairing can begin. Your love will get stronger the more you share with your sweetheart.
