Is The Google Work From Home Kit For Real?

It was a friend who first sent me the link

It was a friend who first sent me the link. "Average People Making Big Money With Google's New Work From Home Kit" the headline said. Could it be true? Google had decided to hire people to post links from home in exchange for big money? Could it really be? And... The articles looked so credible. The Los Angeles Tribune wouldn't lie to me right?

Upon closer investigation I smelled a fish. The news articles didn't look 100% legitimate so I did a little research. Imagine my surprise when I found out there was no such thing as the Los Angeles tribune. Using an official looking report or even a newspaper article is a classic trick of people trying to make their sales pitch look official. This was the first caution sign I saw in my investigation of the google work from home kit.

Now, I better point this out quickly. This "Google Work From Home Kit" has nothing to do with Google. It's not promoted nor endorsed by Google. In fact, Google recently filed suit against Pacific Web Works and other unnamed defendants in Salt Lake Court. The lawsuit is based on many legal violations including infringement and dilution of copyright, federal cyberpiracy, unfair competition and more.

From what I can gather the plot works like this: They get unsuspecting work from home seekers convinced to send in a nominal fee of 2 dollars in exchange for the information that will teach these folks how to work from home for google. In actuality the $2 has nothing to do with money but everything to do with capturing your credit card information. Once they get your card, the small print says that they can automatically charge it every month to the tune of $80. How do you stop it? "Very difficult" many consumers report.

With so many legitimate work from home programs on the market, it's just sickening that people have to resort to scams. Considering all the time, effort and money that went into this whole "google work from home kit" fiasco, whoever was behind it probably could have made nice sum of money had they invested their resources into a legitimate enterprise.
