Is Wind Power Renewable Power For My Home?

. The question often comes up as to whether wind power falls in the renewable category or not though.

It most definitely is renewable power and these are the reasons why I say that...

It will never go away - This is the most defining factor. The fact that the source of electricity will never go away is the most telltale sign that you are dealing with a renewable energy resource. All of the renewable energy on the planet of course comes from the action of the sun heating the earth. Ultimately this is the case, but intuitively it might not make obvious sense, initially. But, when you think about it, you must realize that the sun heats the earth and that radiant heat manifests itself in weather patterns that lead to our wind conditions. The fact that these resources come from the sun means that they will never go away.

It comes from the Earth and doesn't have to be refined - Also, a common characteristic of nonrenewable power sources is that they must be further refined in order to be consumed in a generation facility. That is because fossil fuels for example, are extremely inefficient. The inefficiency of those fuels must be taken out for them to burn efficiently in a traditional power plant. This is not the case with renewable power systems though. They use the energy in its raw form and do not require any further synthesis of the material in order to get it ready to be turned into electricity. That is why the efficiency of these renewable power systems is really never that good.

But what does efficiency really matter if you have an unlimited supply of something?

Right now, renewable power options are just not that pervasive. While we do pay lip service to many of the renewable power choices that have been presented to us, we really are not embracing across the country yet. That is because the price of electricity has not risen starkly enough to cause us to be shocked by it and therefore aggressively try to fix the problem.

However, the precipitous nature of the power equation is about to change. Many of the sources that we have are running dry. While it is not known exactly how much fossil fuel we really have in the ground, we know that it is a finite amount and we also know that Third World countries and even those industrialized countries like China are embracing the creation of electricity through fossil fuel resources at an alarming pace.

In conclusion, wind power is most assuredly a renewable source of energy for your home and it must be acted on aggressively and as soon as possible.
