Car insurance is a must, but it can be expensive

Their research tells them that these items really help prevent accidents and deter theft. If you reduce your risk to them, they will reduce the price for you.

Drive your car less. Lower mileage cars qualify for special, lower premiums. Again, if you are not out on the road, you are reducing the risk that you will get into an accident that your insurer will have to pay for.Drive safer. The better your driving record, the lower your premiums. Slow down, pay attention and reduce your risk of really needing that insurance.

Negotiating skills are also a plus. It doesn't hurt to remind the agent you are talking to that they are not the only game in town, and that company with the cute lizard is just about breaking down your door to try and sign you up. You never know what a little competitive pressure can do to the bottom line.
