Is Your Travel Pillow The Best?

If you are someone that travels all over the country or all over the world

, you may very well be in need of a good travel pillow. Many of us take for granted being able to sleep every night in our own beds that is until we wake up with a stiff neck or sore shoulders from trying to sleep in an airplane seat for six hours. A travel pillow is one of lifes little miracles that people who have been with and without them do not take for granted. The wrong travel pillow will not help do much of anything during traveling, but the right one is going to make a world of difference and mean the difference between a horrible trip and one that is pleasant and peaceful.

So what makes a good pillow and a bad one? There are tons of different materials and many different coverings available, so you have to make sure that you get the right combinations for your needs and preferences. Although there are always the traditional fillings of cotton, polyester and some other ones like foam, these are suitable for some people but may not be for all. There are actually better fillings for these pillows, and although they do cost more money, you have to ask yourself if saving the few dollars and getting a cheap pillow is worth sacrificing your sleep and your sanity for. Some of the middle ground fillings include things like memory foam. This is better than just foam or cotton, but not as good as the upper level filling materials that are available.

The best fillings for travel pillows are hulls namely, buckwheat hulls an millet hulls. These little gems are some of the most comfortable little things to put in pillows and they offer many benefits and advantages. With millet hulls and buckwheat hulls there is no worrying about allergens or dust mites, first of all. They are considered to be hypoallergenic, and this includes being 99.9% dust free too. This immediately makes people much more comfortable while they sleep knowing that they are not breathing in allergens and knowing that they are not harboring dust mites.

Another advantage of these hulls is that they really last a very long time as opposed to the traditional cotton and foam pillows, which wear out, wear thin and have to be replaced in a short period of time. In fact, a travel pillow with millet hulls or buckwheat hulls in it will last for at least five or six years before more hulls need to be added to maintain its shape! When the time does come to fluff the pillow, all that needs to be done is to open the zippered pillow and add more hulls. There is no need to purchase a whole new pillow, and no need to waste your time. With a travel pillow that has hulls in it you will always have the perfect amount of support for those long trips.
