So, Apple's new iPad is the new gadget added to their repertoire. This much anticipated device is living up to its' hype in many ways, and also failing to meet expectations in other aspects. Yes, the iPad has all the app capabilities, has access to the 3G network, can surf the net, and do many other things that the average person desires. The question is, can't the iPhone do the same things?

In my personal experience, the iPad doesn't have many capabilities that the iPhone doesn't, but in turn improves those capabilities. The 9.7 inch display makes browsing the internet and using most apps much more appealing in the eyes of the viewer. Apple has even updated a lot of the applications to maximize the experience on the iPad. The lack of Flash is one downfall of the iPad's internet usage, but Apple is currently working on that as well. A lot of features are being developed, and soon the iPad will look much more appealing.

Price is a common issue with consumers looking to get an iPad. The hefty $500 ($639) if you want 3G network access is a big chunk of money for most people. Mobile internet, email, music, and other features make this an affordable price I believe, especially when many people estimated the prices to be around $1000 before the release.

In conclusion, yes the iPad is basically a bigger iPhone, but with beautiful display, more user-friendly features, and easier usability, I think it is worth every penny. Apple will continue to put out quality products for affordable prices and the iPad is just the next step for them.
