Isle of Wight Festival

The Isle of Wight Festival is well known throughout the world as a popular music festival. This festival takes place during the month of June and sees over 50,000 people gather on the festival site. You can enjoy the Isle of Wight Festival during your Isle of Wight holidays. This festival takes place at Seaclose Park every year for 3 whole days and nights. Thus, you will need to carry camping equipment, as you will not be able to stay at the cottages during the festival. Previous years have seen famous artists like Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and David Bowie perform for music fans. Children are also welcome at this festival and the cost of Child Camping is 70, while tickets for children who will not be camping cost 60. Adult tickets including camping facilities cost 140, while a non-camping ticket for adults is 120. The Isle of Wight Festival first took place in 1968 and took place every year till 1970, which happened to be the largest till date. Thereafter, the festival was revived in 2002, and continues to see music and art lovers gather on a single site for the love of their art.

The Bestival

The Bestival is yet another music and arts festival that takes place in Isle of Wight. A large number of people plan their Isle of Wight holidays so that it coincides with the famous Bestival. It takes place over 3 days at the renowned Robin Hill Country Adventure Park & Gardens, a theme park that most visitors are familiar with. Previous headliners at the Bestival include the legendary Prodigy, Dizzee Rascal, The Magic Numbers and Roxy Music. The Bestival music festival takes place every year during early September. Pack all that you would need for an open-air festival, as you may not feel like returning back to the Isle of Wight cottages during the course of the festival.
