I woke up bright and early this morning and this is going to sound cheesy and Disney cartoonish, but the birds were singing. You think from this point I'm going to say how lovely it was to wake up to such a pleasant aspect of nature, but, to be honest, I was just really, really annoyed. The birds woke me up! Sheesh!
Luckily, my annoyance didn't distract me so much that I forgot to get on the scale because this is the point during the day at which I discovered that I had broken the plateau. I weighed in at 155 pounds. It was awesome to go down a pound after being stuck at the same weight for days.
I gave myself my Prescription HCG injections and took my oral B-Total drops. I made some Green Tea this morning (still hate it, but want to take advantage of every opportunity to maximize my weight loss). I had several glasses of water before lunch.
At lunch I had leftover soup (chicken asparagus). It's still yummy as a leftover. It didn't sound very good when I first stumbled across the recipe in the Recipe Guide, but it turns out to be fabulous. I haven't heard anything bad about it yet. I had Melba toasts with my soup. I skipped them yesterday in an attempt to break my plateau. And that turned out to be a successful maneuver. I saved an apple for mid-afternoon.
For dinner I had the steak that I had leftover from yesterday. I also had Spicy 3 Pepper Melba Toasts. They're still the tastiest of the Melba Toast crew. And I finished off my dinner with a sliced tomato. I sprinkled a bit of balsamic vinaigrette on the tomatoes as well. I checked and it seemed to adhere to the protocol. It's Maple Grove Farms of Vermont brand in case you want to check it out. They have several different flavors that seem to stick to the rules of protocol. And all of them are pretty good! So if you're looking to add something fun and interesting to your HCG diet food plan then this could be it!
