The Old Wives Rule

You may have heard your grandmas, aunts and old folks talking about "when it was their time", about love and dating 50 years above; they would say women were the shy and demure types, not aggressive and they would never wear such tight clothes. But that was like, 50 years ago. If you wear a buttoned up blouse till the neck and floor length skirts, that would be called as demure; that would be called "nerdy" or the "old maid material"; or still be super proper and prim in this modern era; you'd be tagged as a snob or going for the convent type. Well, that may not be the absolute truth, but how would you get to find the love of your life without adapting the present dating rules in your love life.

The modern woman and the modern lifestyle

Everything changes, and dating rules change too. When things change, you have to learn how to adapt in order to survive and keep up. The rules have changed and became less restrictive now. The doors of change will always be open, each path changes through out the years, its up to you to figure out where and what path you should follow to find your partner. Fifty years or more and so, years ago, women always have a well defined role in society. Women were housewives, end of story. They just stay at home and tend to the house and care for the kids while the hubby is still at work. Men were the leaders, women were the followers.

Women can multitask now; they can be a lover, a provider, an office worker, a friend, a daughter all at the same time; managing their families and their careers all at once. Men and women know what they want and they know what are the necessary means to get it and that includes setting aside traditional beliefs to pave way for more practical means.

There is women empowerment now. Women can have a say, they can manage well by themselves and take care of themselves. But it's still simple better if someone would watch your back for you. Everyone deserves to have a good and faithful partner to spend the rest of their lives with. Two is always better than one, and that date could be the one for you.
