It's Fiesta Time In Seville Spain
Make the most of it by booking a holiday apartment online so you can be sure to have comfortable accommodations in the heart of the festival.
The center of Seville Spain is full of narrow, twisting streets with small public squares interspersed. Two larger public squares are the Plaza de San Francisco and, next to it, the Plaza Nueva. The Avenida de la Constitucion is a main thoroughfare for the city and the primary tourist information center is located here. This is the place to go to get brochures and pamphlets with information on all there is to see and do in Seville.
Whether you will have children with you or not, you may enjoy the theme park Isla Magica in the part of Seville called Isla de la Cartuja. The park is a recreation of Spain in the 15th century with the added features of rides, such as roller coasters, and theater performances. A full day can easily be spent here enjoying the fun and excitement.
For a quieter day of sightseeing, the Plaza de Espana is ideal. It was built in the 1920 just for the 1929 Exposition and has come to symbolize Seville in a big way. The architecture is gorgeous and there is a canal where rowboats are available for hire.
Seville Spain is home of one of the world's largest churches but that is just one reason to take a tour of it. The Seville Cathedral took over a century to build with construction beginning in 1401. The chapel has many fine pieces of artwork and a climb to the top of the bell tower provides breathtaking views of Seville. Orange trees fill the large courtyard and the magnificent architecture can be enjoyed while strolling among the trees.
Monasterio de Santa Maria de las Cuevas has quite an historical significance. It was built by the Carthusians in 1400 and hosted Columbus for part of his life. He was even buried on the site at one point. The site served as a monastery until 1836 and then became a ceramics factory until it closed in 1980. It was restored to its former glory for the 1992 Exposition in Seville Spain.
There is so much more to see in Seville Spain. The architecture is so beautiful with many different influences, including Gothic and Moorish. You will want to be in the center of it and be able to go where you want and when you want. Book a holiday apartment online and you will be able to do just that.
