Its Fun To Sleep In Bunk Bed!!
A bunk bed is a type of bed in which one bed frame is stacked on top of another and
the nature of bunk beds allows two people to sleep in the same room while maximizing available floor space. This leads to use them in places with limited floor space, such as on ships and in army garrisons or in places that wish to maximize bed space such as: dormitories, summer camp cabins, hostels, childrens rooms, prison cells, or university residence halls.
Bunk beds are normally supported by four poles, one at each corner of the bed. To get to the second bunk a ladder is used in climbing them. The top bed is normally surrounded by a railing to prevent the sleeper from falling out, and some models also have a privacy curtain for the lower bunk. Because of the height of the bed and need of the ladder, the top bunk of a bunk bed is not recommended for children under six years of age. Ceiling fans are not recommended in rooms with bunk beds. The most common type of bunk bed is the standard bunk bed which has two same size mattresses stacked directly over the other. A loft bed is the bunk bed that has only the top creating an open space underneath that can be occupied by a chest, drawers, or even a work area which makes loft beds an efficient use of small spaces by utilizing the entire vertical area that would otherwise be left unused. Some loft beds even have stowable/trundle beds while retaining the capability to contain workstations and drawers while some loft beds are more expensive than bunk beds due to built-in storage capacity and other features. Some people make DIY bunk beds from wooden planks and fasteners, either from scratch or using plans or designs that they have purchased.
Choosing the right bunk bed plans is truly a serious business because the worst sound you could possibly hear in the middle of the night is the bed collapsing, and your children being injured. Get the right bunk bed plans and follow them to the letter, and you're sure to have a solid and secure set of bed.
If you bought a good set of bunk bed plans then you will have the list of tools you are going to need for each step of the project. When you see a recommendation to use a power tool to cinch those screws down, it means the bed needs to be tight and strong. Any looseness in the structure will quickly decay into total failure and this comes back to the fact that your children is playing on the bed. They will stress those loose joints, causing failure of bed.
