Did you know that almost 85 % of the brides get a diamond ring for their engagement or wedding ...
?? Now that's a LARGE number of men and women out there shopping fervently trying to find a ring to match their personality and taste from a few genuine designs to choose from ...unless of course you don't mind being one of the hundreds of women who wear the same or similar designs from what's readily available ....not a happy thought is it ?
So how hard is it to design your own diamond ring ? Not THAT hard apparently ...!! lets look at some points you have to bear in mind while designing your own unique diamond ring ..you could also refer to

Step 1 - Start by selecting the shape of the diamond that you would like .You can choose from a selection of loose diamonds in various shapes - princess , emerald shaped , marquise , oval , pear , round , triangular , heart shapes and so on .
Step 2 - Select a setting for your diamond - Now that you have picked a shape of the diamond that you like , choose the style of the band you would like .Choices could be made from an array of metals - white gold , platinum , yellow gold , or you could have it two tone mixing the yellow and white gold together . Totally up to you
Step 3 - Choose the size of the stone - depending upon your budget in terms of price , pick the size and weight of the diamond for your ring . One carat equals 0.2 grams and diamonds are available from 0.10 - 10 grams .
While choosing a diamond , also keep in mind how you would like it placed in the ring - solitaire or with stones placed on the sides ...and again you could do side- stone or three- stone . Choices choices choices ......
Step 4 - Cut and clarity - The next step will be to decide on the 'cut ' and clarity of the diamond . The cut of the diamond determines how it reflects the light . The cut varies from Ideal , very good , good ,fair and poor . Needless to say the price of the diamond will depend on the cut you choose . Ideal cut commanding the highest price , however bear in mind that the price of the diamond also depends on the colour , clarity and carat weight of diamond .
Clarity represents the blemishes prevalent in the diamond . Again , diamond with fewer blemishes will have better clarity .
Step 5 - Colour - What colour would you like your diamond to be ? Most popular diamonds are of course the clear ones, but you could choose to have precious stone in a different colour just to make it more unique - colours to choose from are mainly yellow, sky blue and light browns ...
Designing your own diamond ring could be creative and fun ! It could be a beautiful blend of your deepest sentiments and memories with heaps of choices available to make your special day a moment of a lifetime ! Good luck ...
