Brawn and brains merged in a perfect symbiosis, when the JWTKolkata team, comprising of Gautam Roy and Angshuman Roy were declared victors of the Idea Brand Equity Quiz. The spoils of war in this case, were two "Mighty Muscular" tech-packed Mahindra Scorpio VLXs. Anchored by veteran Quizmaster Derek O'Brien, the Brand Equity Quiz is one of the most awaited events in the corporate world. Every year, hundreds of participants from companies across industry sectors, pit their wits against each other and take on the formidable challenge of become finalists at this famous business quiz.

The final four who qualified for the last leg of the finals were Triton Communication from Ahmedabad, Infosys from Chandigarh, IBM from Hyderabad and JWT from Kolkata.The Grand Finale was held atJamshed Bhaba theatre, NCPAon 10th May 2009. JWT, Kolkata won the quiz in a nail-biting finish which culminated the intense fight between JWT Kolkata and Triton Ahmedabad in the final buzzer round. Quizmaster Derek O'Brien showered praise on the winners as well as the runner ups since he changed the quiz pattern this year giving more emphasis on questions which were related to India. Gautam Roy and Angshuman Roy were positively delighted as they received the keys to two "Mighty Muscular" Mahindra Scorpios, from Mr Vivek Nayer,Sr.Vice-President - Marketing, Mahindra & Mahindra (Automotive Sector).They also walked away with Rs 13,09,221 each in prizes admitting that they were a bundle of nerves throughout the quiz and that it was the final round that won them the high-intensity battle of wits.
