Jaguar Land Rover seeks Tata Motors help to expand in India

Tata Motors one of the biggest automobile sectors in India, is all set to magnify the presence of British luxury car Jaguar. The Jaguar Land Rover has extensive plans to accelerate its progress with the cooperation of Tata Motors. The luxury brand wants to enhance in the logistics and service sectors in India. Rohit Suri, head of Tata Motors Premier Car Department said that, JLR is doing quite well in India. The luxury emblem, JLR has already sold 242 Cars In India, in the last year. The current years sales graph are showing impressive figures. The brand is mounting in the Indian Markets, added Mr. Suri without revealing the total cars sold till now. With the aggresive expansion plans and great market conditions, Rohit Suri is confident that the product will achieve its success among the top luxury brand. The target is to capture the local market for Land Rover and setting up the brand in India, soon. Jaguar Land Rover presently has dealerships in Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Ludhiana and wants to spread its wings in other Indian cities as well. By this year end, JLR expects to have eight or nine dealerships across India. Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Cochin and Kolkata are few of the cities which will soon have the JLR brands. Tata Motors, a leading commercial car manufacturers in India, has a respectable global presence. Tata Motors acquired Jaguar, the British Brand in the year 2008 and also took the rights for Rover from Ford. After the acquisition the brand is performing very well. Other than a good hold in the Indian sector, Tata Motors are also establishing themselves in UK, Thailand, Spain and South Korea. If the rumours are to be believed, Tata Motors plans to assemble the Freelander 2, the low price Land Rover in India. The car comes with a price of Rs. 33.5 lacs (ex showroom) in Delhi. The company wants to expand the market share and is hopeful that with the local support it will be able to put the price comparatively lower. With the local market and assembling the car in India, they are sure to decrease its pricing. As per Mr. Suri, Tata Motors assistance is being taken to establish the brand in India.
