How they got together They swear that it wasn't because he hypnotized her. "I wish it was that easy," Jake says. Sondra recalls, "I was traveling and we would talk on the phone. One day he convinced me to let him pick me up from the airport when I was coming home. We've been together every day since."

How their work intersects "I'm a serial entrepreneur," Jake says. "I do the hypnotism because I enjoy helping people, but I've got a master's degree in math and I've been in banking. When we met, she had given like $40,000 of her own money to help with animal rescue. So I suggested, 'Let's start working on a project that we can do together where we can recruit other people to help you raise that money.' And then she came up with Pinups for Pups. It's her idea and her passion, and then I just kind of help out. And she helps me; she's good at booking flights because of her traveling with her other job, so she helps me bring out athletes or entertains them."

On having a partner who also keeps busy Jake says, "I am so Type A that I've had relationships where the people are like, 'Dude, you gotta just not do so much stuff,' but our relationship is easy because we're so much alike. Sondra, as beautiful as she is, is down-to-earth and sincere and not fake. She's a very direct and honest person." Sondra adds, "I like that he likes that I want to get out and do things and he supports me, and I don't have to just be arm candy. Sometimes he's my arm candy." Jake counters, "See, I do have her hypnotized."
