Japanese Translation Specialists Discover Their Creativity

If you're like many moms this holiday season, you're probably having a tough time finding the right gifts for several people on your list

We sent our Japanese translators to Japan's crowning jewel, Kyoto, on a mission to find inspiration for home-made gifts with an oriental flare. While there, they visited the colorful outdoor market where they found silk kimonos made of luxurious painted or embroidered silk. As they wound around the market stalls, they came across stands with remnant kimono fabrics for very low prices. It was here that they became inspired.

Upon their return to the USA, our Japanese translators brought back a suitcase full of silk kimono remnants and set to work creating unique gifts for their families and friends. From patchwork quilts pieced together with bright silk to little girls dresses to designer handbags for teens and silk ties for the guys, our team whipped up some magical creations. But don't think you need to travel half way around the world to Kyoto to find these beautiful materials. Kimono fabrics, whether antique or modern, can be purchased online with the click of a mouse and on a limited budget.
