Javea In Three Parts For Your Villas In Alicante
You have decided not to book your VILLAS IN ALICANTE this year but in the nearby village of Javea
. Its easy to reach being situated between Denia and Altea only eighty kilometres from Alicante. It will take you about an hour on the N332 but if you take time to enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the coastline, which the road follows, it could take some time to reach your destination. There are some places that entice you to stop and explore the area.
As we said Javea is between Denia and Altea but it is also in between two bays, the Cabot San Antonio and the Cabot San Martin. When you eventually arrive in Javea you will find it is divided into three separate areas which are Javea Pueblo (the old town), Javea Puerto (the port area) and Playa de Adrenal (the main beach).
The old part of town is home to traditional houses with balconies some three kilometres inland but, with the property development of today, the old town is now connected to the port area. If it is restaurants and bars you are searching for take a stroll on the Agenda del Mediterranean. This is a promenade that runs down to the harbour where you will find all the amenities you need. There are a number of places to visit while you're here starting with the Iglesia de San Bartolome church built in the 12th century. In Calle Primicias is the Museum Soler Blasco for you to explore or venture over to Cabot de Nao where you will find a lighthouse on top of a small hill. If necessary there are some excellent beaches covered in fine golden sand overshadowed by the Montgo Mountain range.
Just to stroll through this old part of Javea is a delight especially when you come across the whitewashed buildings with their Gothic inclinations. If you need to stock up your holiday let pay a visit to the food market with stalls loaded down with fresh fish, fruits and vegetables. While you are in the area a visit to the Gothic Church of San Bartolome would be in order and interesting.
Most of Spains traditional fishing villages have given way to a more tourist orientated commercial enterprise but not Javea. The only exception to this is the cafes and restaurants lining the seafront; what you will not find is expensive designer shops and a marina filled with multi-million dollar yachts. This is still a traditional Spanish fishing port in every since of the word.
From
