Jealousy in relationships is a serious issue that can cause even a happy couple of many years to suddenly break up. Jealousy is an emotion that is instinctive, it's a feeling we can't control. If your girlfriend is talking to a guy or you see your man speak to an attractive woman, sometimes we can't help but feel a little jealous.

Its human nature for us to let that green-eyed monster named "Jealousy" to take control every now and then. When that happens we need to know how to gain control back. This is serious. There a hundreds of situations in which someone was serious hurt because someone was jealous.

Imagine a boyfriend who was jealous because he once saw his girlfriend talking to some other guy, so he decides to ruin his life by hurting the other guy. This has happened to so many people because they can't control that emotion. Its horrible.

This isn't the only kind of jealousy that happens in relationships. One of you spends too much time with your friends instead of together, he spends his time watching TV instead of helping, or she goes shopping all the time and doesn't get you anything. Sometimes its just ridiculous what we as people get jealous over.

Jealousy is an emotion that is based on confidence one has in themselves and their own self-esteem. When you start feeling doubt that you're not good enough for your partner's attention and time, you start to get jealous of anyone who does get their attention and spends time with them.

Signs of jealousy in a relationship are when you or your partner constantly starts arguments or starts showing resentment by giving you the silent treatment. This could be when you say something to them and they don't say something back, or starts arguing with you about things like infidelity or not spending enough time together.

To save a relationship that has jealousy in it, you or your partner needs to do some self-reflection. You need to realize that whatever type of fear you're feeling, fear of losing your partner's love, fear of being abandoned by them, fear of being betrayed or fear of dealing with shame, you need to identify it.

You need to be able to identify the moments that you become jealous or start showing signs or jealousy. I'll admit, there were times when I checked my boyfriends phone to see if he was calling his ex. I was young and didn't realize it then, but I do now.

What you should do to stop jealousy in a relationship is talk to your partner about your or their jealous tendencies. Identify the reasons why you get jealous and how the two of you can fix it. If he's looking at other women or she is, talk to them about it. Communication is the proper way to deal with jealousy in relationships.
