Bruce Lee explained that he had not created a "new style" of martial arts that is distinct. This style is actually just a process of fighting. There are printings embedded in the JKD logo which says, " using no way as a way" and "having limitations with no limitations". It institutes the idea of not restraining oneself with preconceived thoughts, practice, and any constraints. It is to achieve true freedom in expressing oneself and ones techniques in a free-flowing and spontaneous way.
