Jerr-Dan tow trucks offer tilt cylinder pivots, subframe pivots, IRL cylinder pivots, IRL Strut Arm and Adjustable link pivots, Wheel lift cross-bar pivots, and ball hitch angle available for wheel lift operation. The 2 3/4" diameter heat-treated steel Cross-Bar Pivot Pin is the largest and the most durable in the industry. All Jerr-Dan Wheel lifts are equipped with standard L-Arm wheel grids or with optional T-37 pivoting wheel grids (L-Arm quick release pins require occasional lubrication). Optional hydraulic wheel grids are also available on 5-ton units. This is the industry's most popular carrier, and this chief position is well deserved. The Steel Best-In-Class 5 ton carrier offers "on-demand" remote throttle which automatically increases engine speed when carrier hydraulic function PTO is operated. The tailboard assembly incorporates chain storage pockets, anti-theft L-Arm storage receptacles and adjustable tilt stabilizer bumpers. The 8 keyslots positioned along the deck for maximum operator tie down flexibility. The 6" removable steel tubular side rails are also available polished aluminum. The flexible hose tracking system supports and protects the wiring harness and hydraulic hoses throughout the entire movement of the deck. The optional 3 or 5 function switch panel can be mounted in dash or under dash.
