- Eco Tourism Guide. For those living in areas that are exotic and interesting for travellers to visit, becoming an eco tourism guide is a natural progression. Some guides were formerly bloggers or wrote about their area, and as a local, there were some interested travellers who wanted to visit the area and would often ask for help in getting information about places to stay, spots to visit, and the how to get there issues that normally come about. Eventually, the local blogger becomes a tour operator of sorts. This is something that has happened with some regularity in most places and countries.
