could easily outsource a task to a worker living halfway across the world. Today, it is very much possible. And it's not just data entry jobs that can be performed my assistants living in different continents there are so many jobs that can be performed remotely by workers. Because of this, the virtual assistance industry continues to grow. Here are some of the tasks that can be performed remotely and therefore can be done by virtual assistants.

1.) Administrative tasks- administrative tasks such as writing and answering emails are just some of the tasks that a virtual assistant can do for the company. A

2.) Sales- if you have a product that can be sold over the phone, through emails, or through products catalogues then selling can be done completely offsite. You can hire someone to take care of your business' sales functions for you. If you have an ecommerce site, you can have someone manage that site even if the person is not in your office. You just have to have a good sales system in place.

3.) Customer service- customer service can now be provided remotely by a customer service rep. The company rep can communicate with clients through the phone, through email and even through twitter like how some businesses do it. The important thing is the customers can easily reach you and you can respond quickly and appropriately to customer complaints.

4.) Writing- writers can provide you with their services wherever in the world they are. Whether you need scripts, web copy, articles for marketing or other materials, you can hire writers even if the writer lives miles away from you. Because of the internet writers can now do research easily, write the needed materials and send the materials to you easily through email or though file-sharing sites.

5.) Transcription- with digital audio files and easy tools for transcribing, transcribers no longer have to work in an office to do the work. You can easily hire someone who works at home to do transcription for your company especially if the data or audio that the worker needs to transcribe is not confidential.

6.) Design projects- design work from web design, logo design, creation of brochure or any other design projects can already be performed remotely by a virtual assistant. The work can be done using computers and sent to you through email or other online tools.
