This move will finally offer Joe Cole the chance to fulfil his early promise, he is more guaranteed a starting role at Liverpool than he was at Chelsea, and would be at Arsenal and possible even at Spurs. Importantly for Joe, Hodgson's European background will make him more at home handling a player of Cole's abilities and Hodgson is less likely than most to stick him on the left wing and make him spend more time tracking back than hurting team's in the final third. Cole and Liverpool look a very good fit.
