Croatan Highway in Kitty Hawk, mile south of their 25-year location on the bypass.

According to Joe Lamb, Jr., founder of Joe Lamb, Jr. & Associates, We had simply become too crowded. Clients were struggling to find a place to park, and checking in guests during peak season had become a challenge. In our new place we have much more parking space and handicap accessibility. That will allow us to provide guest services in a more efficient manner. Joe and his wife Ann began renting vacation cottages on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 1968. Their first office was located at milepost 11.5 on the beach road. The following year they moved about half a mile north to a location beside what is now Tortugas Lie Restaurant. To keep up with the growth of the company, in 1984 Joe Lamb, Jr. & Associates moved to their present office at milepost 2 on the bypass. Again, to keep pace with the companys success, Joe Lamb, Jr. & Associates will soon be operating from milepost 2.7 on Highway 158. Joe Lamb recalls, We started with only 18 cottages. Today we have more than 550 vacation rentals, several commercial properties, and, of course properties for sale.
