Toddlers have lots of energy to burn and so any toy that provides physical exercise is a good one, particularly if you live in a climate where winter weather prevents your child from going outdoors every day. The Jumpsmart Musical Kids Trampoline is a great toy for a young child to safely burn off some energy either indoors or outdoors. I know that with my son, he would take to jumping on the sofa until we got him a little tramp like this one to bounce on.

The Jumpsmart Musical Trampoline is triangular shaped rather than round. At the front are two handlebars to ensure safety, so long as your child hangs on to them. The tramp we had for our son did not have any handlebars so I would feel much better obtaining one like this even though we never had any accidents with the little round one that we had.

What's cool about this toy is that it also has musical sound effects and includes counting in English in French. But don't buy this toy solely for the reason that it could be classified as an educational toy. The educational component is limited. Kids will get more out of watching Sesame Street than they will from this. In fact, if you remove the electronic device that produces the sound, they can watch Sesame Street and jump at the same time.

For the most part, parents who've purchased this toy say that the assembly is pretty easy and it's a durable toy. However, some have complained that the bungee cord snaps after a few months of constant use. The good news is that the company replaced it for them. Granted, it's a bit of a bit of pain having to contact the manufacturer if this happens to you but at least you can rest assured that your money won't go to waste. And, a toy like this is just too much fun for a child to pass it up just because of the potential bungee problem.

One important point to note is that the manufacturer recommends this toy for children age 10 and up. In reality, this toy is better suited to children aged 3 to 6 years old. Most 10 year olds are too heavy for this toy and would break it in a short period of time. Many parents who've purchased this toy have kids that are in the younger age bracket and have had good things to say about their child's experience and the durability of the toy.
