It is a success story like no other

It is a success story like no other. A young boy with an amazing voice but no showbiz connections rose from the crowd and went on to become one of the biggest teen superstars that the world has ever seen. His fans calls themselves The Beliebers, he has over 20 million followers on Twitter and has been named by Forbes as the third most powerful celebrity in the world. He is none other than the musical powerhouse- Justin Bieber.

But before all the fame and glory was a kid who was shy, reserved and liked to keep his talents to himself. Raised by a single mother who was working many jobs, Beiber never even took singing lessons as a child. While growing up, he even taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and the trumpet. But his natural ability to play with the musical notes couldnt remain hidden for long.

At the age of twelve, in early 2007, Justin entered a local singing competition and sang Ne-Yo's hit song "So Sick". For a local singing competition in Stratford and was placed second. Surprisingly he placed second in the competition, something that he had only done for fun! And this incident is what initiated his journey towards fame and success. Then, with the help of his mother, he posted Justin Bieber songs and Justin Bieber videos on YouTube which got a lot of hype through word of mouth. These posts attracted the attention of thousands of viewers, some even receiving as many as 10,000,000 views!

It was these Justin Bieber music videos that caught the attention of Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def Recordings. Highly impressed with Justins talent and voice, he flew in to Atlanta to meet him in person. After experiencing the Bieber magic first hand, Braun was completely convinced with Justins ability to work wonders. He introduced him to the highly successful artist Usher, who immediately took Justin in as his protg.

Then what began was one of the most effective and successful PR campaigns in the history of the music industry. In 2009, Bieber released his first single "One Time" while he was still recording the debut album. This became an instant success not only in Canada and US, but also in the international market. Producing hit song after hit song, Justin Bieber became a youth icon almost overnight. Soon there were Justin Bieber pictures all over internet and media. His follower acquisition rate for his twitter profile reached to one new follower every other second! He followed up the release of his debut album with his first headlining tour, the My World Tour, the remix albums My Worlds Acoustic and Never Say Never The Remixes, and the 3D biopic-concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.

Success like this was never seen or heard of. As of today he has earned an estimated US$55 million and has sold 15 million albums worldwide. This teen heartthrob is truly the megastar of the decade!
