KTM 125 Duke to be launched soon in India

KTM Sportmotorcycle AG, Austrian based auto manufacturer

, is jointly developing the new KTM 125 Duke with Indian arm, Bajaj Automobile India Limited. KTM-Bajaj are all set to launch the new KTM 125 Duke soon in the Indian auto market.KTM Duke The new bike will be manufactured at the company's Chakan Plant near Pune. However, The price of this new bike has not been yet announced by the company, but as per some news sources, it will be available with hefty price tag of more than one lakh in the country. The KTM 125 Duke comes loaded with a Liquid Cooled, 4stroke engine, single cylinder, fuel injection, DOHC. The powertrain of this bike can produce awesome power output of 15 to 17 Bhp. The new Bike has got excellent capabilities to deliver fuel efficiency of around 30kmpl. The fuel tank capacity of this bike is around 13litre and 2.5litre in reserve. It will also incorporate with 5speed transmission system. The bike was first displayed in 2009 EICMA show in Milan. The Indian model will be a powerful motorcycle and later can be replaced by an even higher capacity engine. The new KTM 125 Duke would be fitted with Front and Rear Disc brakes. The engineers of the company, who are working on the KTM 690 Duke. They are also developing new entry-level 125cc Duke.

It is expected to be available with electric start facility along with disc brakes. KTM has posted healthy financial figures for the third quarter operating results 2009/10. Bajaj Auto, India's one of the largest two-wheeler market leader, is also planning to launch their new products range including Bajaj Blade, Bajaj XCD etc. The company has recently launched a unique experiential website of the company's flagship model, Bajaj Pulsar, called www.mypulsar.com. Besides, Bajaj Discover is also getting overwhelming response from the Indian auto market. The new upgraded higher version of Discover family is offering excellent performance in the auto market. Apart from that launch, Indian bike lovers will see more launches in India that includes Suzuki Gladius, Kawasaki Ninja, TVS Apache 220, Bajaj XCD, TVS Max, KTM 125 Duke, Mahindra Cevalo etc.
