Karen had a love for the holidays, but her favorite holiday was Halloween

. Now that she was the mother she wanted to be sure her baby got to experience her first Halloween in the best way possible. Not only was Karen going to have a Halloween party, but she invited all of her friends that have had babies in the last year. Her plan was to have a professional photographer come in and take photos of all the babies, and then convert the photos into a calendar. The biggest challenge was going to be getting baby Halloween costumes.

A basic pumpkin costume is what Karen was thinking to begin with, but one of the other mothers was already going to do that. She did not realize that this task of figuring out what to dress her baby up as was going to be as difficult.

The photographer hired for the party had worked with babies for several years. She understood how hard it was to work with them, and encouraged the mothers to follow the list she had provided. The list was instructions on what to do, so that this picture process was not going to be a huge ordeal.

Karen and another mother named Amy decided to have lunch one day and discuss what they were going to do. Amy was just as frustrated as Karen. Karen's baby was just shy of a year old, and Amy's baby was only six months old. They were talking about putting their babies in kitten outfits. Amy's baby needed to be in an outfit that her baby could lay on her stomach. The more the two mothers's started talking, the harder it was going to become in choosing a costume.

Karen and Amy decided to go shopping one day to see what they could come up with. They went to a high-end baby boutique to see if there was anything that would inspire them. The owner of the store just happened to be there and she was a great deal of help. She told the two mothers to get online and find a flower costume. The owner of the store said that she had been in a similar situation a few years back with her daughter just having a baby.

Amy and Karen ran out of the store and immediately got online. Within a week both mothers had gotten adorable little flower outfits for their babies.

The day of the Halloween party was very fun but very stressful. Having 12 babies in one room trying to take pictures was very hard. However, all of the mothers pushed through the day so that they could see the end result of this wonderful calendar.

Many people that day asked Karen and Amy where they got their baby Halloween costumes. When the calendar came out it became a huge success online. It was so successful it sold out in less than two weeks.
