The new Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 features a revamped interface that makes navigation almost flawless.

The program can now create a very useful virtual environment within Windows, known as Safe Run for applications; eliminating the need to add applications manually. This mode allows you install potentially dangerous, malicious or unwanted files without affecting the functionality of your Operating System. What is interesting is that the sandbox does not remove the installed application automatically, but instead saves it until manually cleared.

Just like the Safe Run mode, there is a Safe Run for Websites' option available to help run your web browser in a sandbox environment. This mode separates your browser from the OS so that the system files go untouched in case you end up downloaded unwanted or malicious programs.

After quite a while, "parental control" makes its entry into the security suite. The overall controls are quite comprehensive as they allow you to control various individual aspects of control such as computer usage, internet usage, web browsing, file downloads, messaging and application usage. Other settings include blocking certain websites or blocking all but a particular website. You can also block private data in case of special cases such as credit cards, home address or phone numbers.
