Keep From Getting Colds By Using Methods Of Prevention
Dealing with the flu or a cold once you have gotten them can be done in various ways
. It is possible to make yourself feel better, but you won't find a cure to completely heal you. Not letting a cold of the flu get started in the first place makes a better solution. During flu and cold seasons, you can take extra precaution, but all year-round, there are preventative measures you can take to keep healthy. There are ways to stay in good health by preventing disease, but you must do certain things.
When someone in your life everyday gets sick, start using disposable things. Paper cups, plates, and plastic utensils being used is a good idea, when sickness hits the family. It is easy to pass on germs when dishes are being touched by each other family member, so using disposable items might not be the best for the environment, but a good prevention measure. Germs will not be spread as easily when you are using dishes and utensils that are disposable, which you can buy as recyclable. This is especially important if you have a child who is sick or who might want to share a cup with someone who has the flu.
You need to see your doctor more often for check ups. Set up an annual physical exam, and remember to go. Don't skip it anymore. You might not feel like you need to see a doctor, but do it for your family. If you really want to stay healthy, a visit to your doctor and dentist, should take place each year at least once.
Sometimes you know you have a problem, and keep putting it off, sometimes until it is too late. As long as you are doing things that will keep your immune system working at a high level of efficiency, colds and the flu can be prevented easily.
Get some fresh air. Because we close up ourselves in our houses when the weather turns cold, is actually one of the reasons that colds and flu runs rampant. All of the doors and windows are kept closed as a way of keeping the homes warm. With the houses closed up, once the flu or cold germs get inside, they have no way to get out, and end up being circulated over and over. Allowing the fresh air to circulate freely throughout your house, will dilute the level of germs causing sickness, cleansing your home at least some. Plus, fresh air just feels good-even when it's cold.
Whatever you are trying to cure your cold or flu, it is not going to work. There are, however, things that you can do to prevent them. Most prevention measures are mainly common sense, but they will help you not get colds or the flu. Getting sick is sometimes a choice, because you can do things to prevent it from happening, and it is important to know that.
