It makes good sense to promote positive relationships with your neighbors, introduce yourself, get to know them, maybe invite them to dinner. Let them know how important your garden or landscaping is to you or your business. Change them from strangers into people who are part of your social network.

Instead of just asking neighbors to take care of their trees, you need to show them that the benefit is mutual. You may want to demonstrate that you trim your trees so that you do not negatively affect their property. You may suggest a professional service if the job is too big for an individual, or involves a dangerous situation such as trees growing through power lines.
