Classroom technology has moved on considerably in the last few years, and people who were at school just a few years ago might well struggle to come to terms with how educational establishments have changed in order to integrate technology into school life.

Everyone knows there is nothing worse than being droned at for an hour, or simply spending time during a class writing everything down. Not only will this style of teaching bore you to tears, you are far less likely to take in what has been said - you'll end up bored and uninformed. Thankfully, the majority of teachers do not attempt to teach in this manner, but with an interactive whiteboard, they get a helping hand in bringing a lesson to life.

Being able to touch and manipulate a display makes everything seem so much more real and exciting. Software can be loaded onto the computer, giving you a large number of options when it comes to displays, again helping to keep things fresh and interesting. Receiving help in finding new ways to teach is something that all teachers will appreciate and ideas are something that interactive whiteboards can supply by the bucket load.

No matter what age your students are, everyone appreciates being entertained - that might seem a strange word to use when you're talking about a teaching environment, but there is absolutely no reason why teaching shouldn't be fun. New tools such as whiteboards capture the imagination of students and this means they are more alert during lessons and therefore more receptive.
