Keeping Away From Mr. Stinky

It is a wonder how the new gadgets of technology have tremendously helped people in managing the tasks they have to do every day

. In an age when everything seems to be made instantly, people are afforded the convenience of performing chores as quickly as possible. We have coffee makers and toasters to make instant coffee and sandwich toasts. We have dish washers to automatically wash the dishes in just a touch of a button. We have vacuum cleaners to readily clean the dry carpet. You can think of some errand that requires too much effort and the probability is someone out there has already invented, or at the very least, is thinking of inventing a machine to ease the burden.

Unfortunately, however, these household appliances will never truly function unless someone operates them properly. They may also even not achieve their maximum capacity unless the very people owning them know how to take care of such household equipment. Take the case of a simple washing machine, for instance. While we know that it takes care of our dirty laundry day in and day out, seldom do people bother to check from time to time whether it needs to be already cleaned or not yet.

Household machines will always be machines that wont clean themselves unless we do the initiative. Here then are some practical pieces of advice to help your washer efficiently clean your dirty clothes without leaving the washer being dirty as well.

To remove the washer smells, pour one cup of white vinegar into your washing machine and mix it with hot water. Allow the washing machine to go through an entire cycle of wash and rinse. Afterwards, you may want to add another cup of borax mixture into the washer to remove any previous musty smell remaining in the laundry.

Another tip to avoid having a stinky washer is to use a liquid detergent instead of the traditional powder detergent that most households use. It is easier for the liquid detergent to dissolve into the machine, which eliminated the possibility of having any residue that creates the mold and mildew in the washer.

Take note of the common practice to wipe out any dirt or grime every time you use your washing machine. The dirt and grime will attract molds from forming in the machine, which can cause the washer stinky smell. You may want to also consider not using too much salt and any other chemicals since this can speed up the corrosion in the machine.
