They also guarantee that your mechanic will have extensive experience of your specific car and consequently will know exactly what they're doing, thus catching any potential underlying problems.

Though it may seem that we all need to tighten our belts in the face of the current economy, spending a little extra and booking your car in for an official Audi, Daewoo or Honda service is the ideal way to save money in the long term, rather than getting a cheaper service where you aren't entirely sure of what you are getting. That's not to say that all mechanics throughout the country are incompetent or dishonest, but in this uncertain economic climate, it's essential that you know what you are getting.
