Keeping Your Cool When the Golf Shots Aren't Going Your Way

Sometimes golfers can find they suffer from a run of poor luck and none of their

shots seem to be falling where they should and putts falling slightly short of the hole. It is one of the most frustrating things that can happen when playing golf and in some cases may mean that you stop playing the game for a while. This happens to all golfers, especially professionals as many people will have witnessed this happening to the World number one Tiger Woods in recent months.

Tiger Woods despite his recent indiscretions is still one of the most skilled and successful golfers in recent years but the time he had taken away from the game and not practicing has had a negative effect on his abilities. He has recently admitted he hasn't practiced as much for recent tournaments and this could have a big part in why his scores have been a little disappointing recently.

As a golfer yourself you will know the only way to get better at golf is to practice regularly so that you develop a natural feel' for the shots you need to take so you will know where to aim and how hard to hit the ball to get it to land on the fairway or near the flag. Practicing the areas we struggle with is another important aspect as it can help to lower your handicap as well as make sure all shot types and situations are going to be manageable.

Despite our best efforts we may continue to have areas where we'll struggle with and no matter how much you practice you are still coming unstuck on the golf course. This is the kind of situation where you may need to look into speaking with a professional or golf tutor at your local course as they may be able to see something in your golf swing or stance that may be causing these problems. With the advice of a professional you should be able to iron out any areas that are letting you down and get your scores to fall when you next take to the tee.

Golf isn't always an easy sport that everyone excels at initially, many golfers will spend years working on their golf game so it is important to make sure that you keep at it and that you don't lose faith. The more your practice the more natural the golf swing will begin to feel and help you become a more consistent golfer.

Make sure you get plenty of practice in with 2 for 1 golf vouchers to cut down the cost of your games and use golf handicap software to get your official golf handicap recognized.
