* According to fish experts long and wide tanks are good for goldfish. It will give your fish more space to swim and play. Moreover your fish will also get more surface area for oxygen.
* A glass fish tank is heavy object. So you will need an appropriate stand for it.
* Glass also looks better as it doesn't get scratched very quickly
* You must be carefully not to put your aquarium near a window because direct sunlight may result in algae or overheat.
* You should not place an aquarium against a wall as you will require enough space at the back of the aquarium for filters and air pumps. Also see that you have an electrical outlet near the aquarium.
Getting a fish tank, preparing and setting it up and filling it with water and fish in the same way is strictly prohibited. You must leave a prepared tank for two days for the inside environment to get settled. Then only you must add fish.
