In workspaces, it is a comfort, or in certain cases a luxury to have heating such as radiators and boilers, whilst ventilation is considered a compulsory heath issue, yet offices never arrive to the conclusion of getting an all in one heat pump.

The initial cost of installing such a novelty can be quite difficult to grasp for all those penny pinching bosses, but weighed up with the general money qualities that it possesses, it seems a no brainer. It simply begs the question: why is no one joining this revolutionary idea?

The benefits of using an air-source heat pumps is that it only uses a fraction of the electricity of a resistance heater, but still produces the same amount of heating; therefore drastically reducing energy bills.

Plus very little maintenance is needed for the heat pump, in comparison to other heating systems available today; the only maintenance that needs to be carried out, is merely checking that the heat exchanger and fan are kept free from leaves and debris.

While the air pump is considered efficient, it becomes less effective when the external temperatures fall below 5 degrees Celsius. In spite of this, in colder climates the systems can be installed with an auxiliary source of heat, consequently providing heat at lower temperatures.

The benefits of installing an air-source heat pump outweighs the drawbacks, however it all depends on whether you believe the initial investment is worth having a money saving heating system. Don't forget that employees work better when they are more comfortable
