Keyword analysis research is a very important element of Internet marketing, whether you are selling your own product or promoting affiliate or CPA offers.

You do need to come up with targeted, moderately competitive keywords to make it online, but this does not mean that you should take forever to do the keyword analysis research.

With the right keyword tool, you should be able to find keywords that are easy to rank for.

I will talk about keyword research in a minute. For now, let's think for a while. Let's say you find a list of 50 keywords. Let's just assume that they are nearly perfect - meaning, above 1500 searches a month and a low amount of weak competition.

What do you think you can do with these? Can you monetize them? How much do you think you can make?

Now, let's come to keyword analysis research. You need a list of keywords. I recommend 10 - 15 per website. This is for Google to see that your website is genuine and not the 1 page sites which pop up everyday.

Use a seed keyword. This is usually something like "dog training". Plug it into Google keyword research tool and search for keyword ideas. You will be suggested a list of keywords. Arrange them in order of search volume. Now check for the competition for each of the niche keywords in the list.

Step #1: Copy the keyword phrase (ONE phrase only)

Step #2: Paste in Google Search and put it between quotes

Step #3: Hit search. If more than 35,000 results pop up, discard the keyword and do the same with the next keyphrase. If you get less than 35,000 results, paste the keyphrase in notepad

Step #4: Continue to do this until you have 10 - 15 keywords

Next you want to check for the strength of competition. Use SEO Quake plugin for Firefox to see the number of backlinks pointing to the #1 result for your keyphrase.

Usually, the less the better. That's how keyword research analysis is done manually.
