Stop me if you've heard this one before: The Bruins, playing without two of their most effective offensive weapons (Savard and Krejci), have struggled to score points in consecutive losses.

If you're picturing Philadelphia Flyers jerseys in your head, and thinking of the epic embarrassment of last year's playoffs collapse, it would be understandable. Unfortunately, the previous sentence was describing the last two games in Boston this week. Good times, no?

Yep, it is indeed the same old song and dance' as new Bruins spokesmouth Steven Tyler would no doubt be happy to sing for you.

The Bruins are going to have to find ways around this, likely with better puck movement and increased overall effort.

The good news is that Boychuk and Krejci have both returned to the practice ice already. So hopefully their returns are close.

However, in the interim the team is going to have to look towards the likes of Horton and Bergeron for scoring punch. Their jobs become infinitely more difficult considering how obvious that is, and defenses can now practically start covering them during warmups.

One thing worth mentioning Blake Wheeler is getting dangerously close to Dennis Wideman territory (you know, the guy that the home crowd jeers mercilessly). Once upon a time this was known as the Hal Gill Memorial Award, but of course there's a new candidate practically every year. Anyways, heres hoping Wheeler can turn it around, as he had such a great rookie campaign and has looked a little bit lost in the years since.
