The Vijay Mallya-promoted Kingfisher Airlines has been voted the best carrier in
India and the whole of Central Asia by a global survey carried out by industry consultancy Skytrax.
Kingfisher Airlines is Indias first and only 5-Star airline and the only one to offer a premium first class service on domestic routes. Besides being the first and the only airline to offer in-flight entertainment on every seat in the domestic skies, Kingfisher Airlines offers LIVE TV with 16 channels of live and exciting content. Kingfisher Airlines is part of The UB Group which is one of Indias largest conglomerates with diverse interests and a global presence. The UB Group is also the largest Indian manufacturer of beverage alcohol beer and spirits and the second largest drinks Group in the world.
With the merger of Kingfisher Airlines and Deccan, the airline covers all segments of air travel from low fares to premium fares and offers the maximum number of flights offered by any single airline network in India. From April 14, 2008, the combined entity will connect 62 cities and have 480 daily departures.
Kingfisher Airlines Launches Flights from Chandigarh to Mumbai and New Delhi Kingfisher Airlines, Indias first and only 5-Star airline, launched the services on six new sectors and that it will add Chandigarh to the network of cities served by it.
Kingfisher Airlines also offers daily direct flights from Mumbai to Chandigarh. The launch of services to Chandigarh marks the launch of operations for Kingfisher Airlines in Chandigarh. Kingfisher Airlines willalso launch a daily direct flight between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
Kingfisher Airlines also introduced services on 5 other routes. For the first time, kingfisher Airlines offer a daily same day return flight between New Delhi and Chandigarh and a daily direct flight between Delhi and Goa. It is also added one more daily direct flight between New Delhi and Hyderabad taking the total number of daily flights on that route to three flights a day. Kingfisher Airlines now have 250 departures a day and will serve 39 destinations with a fleet of 42 brand new aircraft.
